Vuelta a España 2026, oggi Kung vince la tappa a Jerez de la Frontera

Stefan Küng ha conquistato con autorità la cronometro individuale della Vuelta a España 2026, imponendosi sul percorso di 32,1 chilometri tra El Puerto de Santa María e Jerez de la Frontera. Lo svizzero della Tudor Pro Cycling Team ha completato la prova in 35:22.82, alla velocità media di 54,2 km/h, precedendo Callum Thornley e João Almeida.

Küng ha confermato i pronostici della vigilia con una prestazione di alto livello. Il corridore elvetico ha chiuso davanti allo scozzese Callum Thornley, portacolori della Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe, secondo con un ritardo di 3,08 secondi.

Il podio è stato completato dal portoghese João Almeida, in gara con la UAE Team Emirates – XRG. Alle sue spalle si è classificato lo sloveno Primož Roglič, quarto a circa diciannove secondi dal vincitore. Quinto posto per il belga Wout van Aert, staccato di circa venti secondi.
