Coquard trionfa a Xeraco nella tappa di oggi della Vuelta: ordine d'arrivo completo

Bryan Coquard ha conquistato l’ottava tappa della Vuelta a España 2026, imponendosi allo sprint al termine dei 171 chilometri tra Puçol e Xeraco. La giornata è stata segnata anche dal ritiro di Tadej Pogacar, costretto ad abbandonare la corsa dopo una caduta.

Il corridore francese della Cofidis ha preceduto in una volata caratterizzata da fasi concitate il danese Mads Pedersen, portacolori della Lidl-Trek. Per Coquard si tratta della 56ª vittoria da professionista.

Il podio dell’ottava frazione è stato completato dal belga Jordi Meeus, velocista della Red Bull–BORA–hansgrohe. Al quarto posto si è classificato il britannico Ben Turner della Netcompany INEOS, seguito dal francese Jordan Labrosse della Decathlon CMA CGM Team.

Alessandro Romele ha ottenuto un significativo sesto posto con la XDS Astana Team. La presenza francese nella top ten è proseguita con Bastien Tronchon, settimo, e Hugo Hofstetter, ottavo. Il venezuelano Orluis Aular ha chiuso nono, mentre Matthew Brennan, vincitore dei precedenti sprint, ha completato la top ten.
